Medical Device Industry
Graphic Design
Since 2008, I've been designing for medical device companies, some of which are very large corporations with established brand standards, others that are small startups which require brand ideation and strategy in addition to design work. Below are some examples of the large volume of work I've done for this industry, demonstrating creativity and effective design while maintaining a clean and polished, trustworthy feel.
Medical Device clients include (past & present):
Medtronic, Covidien, Zoll Medical, Viseon Spine, Virtual Vision, Cytrellis,  GuideStar Medical, Enteral Access Technologies, Aventusoft, HEMOTAG, IM-PAL Medical, Rebiotix, Vomaris, QView Medical, ev3, St. Jude Medical, Omni Spinal Concepts, Caisson Interventional, Ascenda Medical Marketing, CleftAlign

Trifold sales brochure for Viseon's MaxView® System (folds down to 8.5x11 as shown on bottom left). This was the first item I made for Viseon to establish the new look and feel of their marketing materials going forward, while keeping their brand's same logo, fonts and colors.

Sell Sheet (double-sided 8.5x11) For Viseon's MaxView®LL 2 surgical camera. While using their existing logo, fonts and colors, I've been working with their marketing director to give each piece a more modern, clean look through each new handout, brochure and sell sheet we create together.

Postcard/handout (double-sided 5x7 card) designed for GuideStar Medical's new epidural device EpiZact. These informational cards were created for handing out at their booth during a medical device conference.

I also designed the EpiZact logo and chose the brand colors, fonts, and all design elements. In addition to the design of this handout, I also color edited the cover product photo and removed its original background.

Sell Sheet/Marketing brochure (8.5x11, double-sided) for the medical device, DoubleCHEK. In addition to the design and layout of this piece, I also wrote the written content, pulling from the content I read on their website and previous brochure.

Company "Fact Sheet" that explains the who, what, and why of the HEMOTAG cardiac screening device. I designed the layout of this double-sided sheet (including the mini-infographic) as the first marketing piece they released. Future marketing materials will have a similar look and feel. (The logo and color palette already existed.)

Clinical education sheet (and mini-infographic) on the urgency of cardiac heart failure screening, to be given to health care providers by the HEMOTAG sales team.

Product/company pitch sheet for a new medical device: IM-PAL impaled object stability system. This is a new start-up that didn't have any existing design standards when they came to me, so I selected/designed the color palette, fonts, images, design elements, etc as part of designing this pitch sheet. The illustrations of the product are all my work as well - the front hero shot, the back illustrations under "The Design," and "The Application" step illustrations. (Client had shipped a prototype to me to draw from.) This piece establishes a strong foundation for their visual branding in everything they will design moving forward.

While staying within Medtronic's strict brand guidelines, I was still able to give all marketing materials used in this study a recognizable, consistent design treatment.

Sales Sheet for Covidien: Trailblazer Support Catheter

A simple header banner design for a Covidien email campaign
Covidien had strict brand guidelines, so I had to first learn their brand when I started working with them in 2011. Above is an example of a doctor-facing form that I designed for Covidien in 2012.
A patient-facing brochure for Covidien's DURABILITY PAS medical device study. There were many additional supportive materials for this study that I also designed using the same look and feel, photo, colors and design elements as shown in this brochure. While staying within Covidient's strict brand guidelines, I was still able to give all marketing materials in this study a recognizable, consistent design treatment.

There were many additional supportive materials for this study that I also designed using the same look and feel, photo, colors and design elements as shown in this brochure.
